Okay… I just wanted to play with Xara Xtreme and somehow this header rolled out of it. Maybe I need to place a disclaimer for the terrific beautiful images I produce… kuch…!
Top of the World in Xara
After watching the fit-text-to-curve video I tried to fit the text “Top of The World!” to planet Earth with the reverse path as shown to the left and it works perfectly.
With Xara Xtreme it takes under a minute to create it.
Xara Xtreme Text Effects 2
I watched the video Xara Text Effect 2 and tried it myself, with the result to the left, after a minute or so. I didn’t quite get how he could clone the circles so fast so I used ctrl-K for each circle.
Xara Xtreme is absolutely cool, If you want to do any graphics for your site, I can advise you to buy it.
Making a file icon in Xara in 1 minute
I Just watched the Xara Xtreme video on “How to make a file in Xara“. I decided to try it myself because it just takes a minute or so and the result you can see to the left of me.
Brilliant. Xara Xtreme rules.
Ripping music take a lot of space!
I am a little behind in the digital age concerning music. Only last week I started “ripping” my music to .mp3 format so I can play it in my mp3 player in my car and on my mp3 watch.
Ofcourse I want the best quality so I put the settings in Windows Mediaplayer on “320kbps”. I want it to be be the best quality since in the long run I think CD’s are dead and I might at some time just dump the complete cd collection somewhere in the attic or just sell it.
However, when I rip a cd on this quality a song is on average 10mb, which makes e.g. Led Zeppelin IV 102mb in size! So if I’m going to rip 100 cd’s it will be 10 gig and if I’m going to rip 1000 cd’s it will be 100 gigabyte in size. Wauzers. I’m glad I bought a NAS which holds 2000 gigabyte.

thuisbezorgd.nl uit Enschede, heeft nu iets heel handigs toegevoegd aan de site die ik vrijwel altijd gebruik bij het bestellen van mijn pizza’s, shoarma of ander fastfood: online betalen!
Op dit moment zijn er 150 van de 1300 aangesloten bedrijven die al “over zijn”.
Vreselijk handig voor mij omdat ik altijd moet checken of ik wel genoeg duiten heb, anders moet ik er alsnog uit om eerst te pinnen…
Ik heb het even gecheckt in mijn postcode regio… maar helaas… not, geen enkele van mijn bezorg bedrijfjes biedt deze mogelijkheid, tenminste als ik naar het icoontje betaalwijzen kijk. Come on guys, dit is 2007, ff upgraden.
