ARGH!!! WTF?The cliffhanger broke my brains… now what?? *argh*
The last 2 episodes had their dips but episode 8 was superb. It lands hereby in the top 3 best LOST episodes until now IMHO.
I’m going to watch it again now
Since…. LOST is returning TODAY!! hurray! FINALLY our life will be complete again! (uhm… in 4 hours and 40 minutes)
And what will we see?
1) You can CHAT live during the show with other fans here: http://gamesurge.net/chat/lostpedia
"Because You Left" will be the premiere episode of Season 5 of Lost, and is scheduled to be broadcast on January 21, 2009.
"The Lie" will be the second episode of Season 5 of Lost, and is scheduled to be broadcast as the second hour of the Season 5 premiere on January 21, 2009.
the remaining island survivors start to feel the effects of the aftermath of moving the island, and Jack and Ben begin their quest to reunite the Oceanic 6 in order to return to the island with Locke’s body in an attempt to save their former fellow castaways.
Lindelof also suggested that the split may only be a temporary measure that will work in the show’s favour. "Let’s face it, absence makes the heart grow fonder, but there’s nothing sweeter than a reunion. All we’re willing to say at this point is that if we were to spend the entire duration of season five with the Oceanic Six trying to get back to the island, we are fully aware that the audience would strangle us."
Well… what can we do with our lives while waiting for Season 5 ?? Just keep watching the LOST site for updates and little news what else is there to do?
I just installed the LOST widget on my desktop. Every 108 minutes I HAVE to type the numbers 4 8 15 16 23 42 or else….
I think none of the other Yahoo Widgets are useful for me. I have blogged about it and its predecessor the past many years but noticed I always delete it from my system after a while.
The only widget that I DO use (and then have to reinstall the Yahoo Widgets engine again) is the clock: I make it transparent and on top of any other windows. When I then give courses or presentations, I have the clock on top of the screen, which is a great way to check the time while talking in front of a classroom of students (instead of watching eyes slowly closing).
p.s. the LOST widget will disturb your presentations since it will bring the monitor to the front when 4 minutes remain, but luckily you can turn it off in the settings. You can even define the action that should happen when you do not enter the sequence in time.

What’s after LOST?
There are so many websites with LOST theories. Almost every little detail is analyzed and each time I read a new theory I discover meaning behind things I didn’t even notice.
And of course noone knows if he or she is right.
What we experience is, I think, one big puzzle (“Second Degree White Belt Sudoko“). So if you want to read up on some theories and have your own brilliant ideas, you absolutely need to check first “what is already know”, unfortunately that is more than a day-task. Here is a by-far-not-complete-list of 20 LOST sites that you can scan completely for info. On these sites you will find links to dozens of other (official) LOST sites and communities:
Be prepared to spend a long time here!
p.s. did anyone read this already? the entire island was purged of all dead bodies. It was then ordered that no one should be allowed to either die or give birth on the island due to its sacred importance and to preserve its neutrality in commerce, since no one could then claim ownership through inheritance.
I’m not going to give any spoiler away (full episode description here).
But it was again a thrilling episode which revealed to us the full Oceanic six, some more important flash forwards and … the spy on the scary ship and… the owner of the ship and more amazing background of the story of flight 815 (can’t believe this) and ofcourse the flash forwards of Ji Yeon, Sun and … Jin (hmmmm…..).
Again an amazing episode!
SPOILER WARNING!
Simply … wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwooooooooooooooooooooooooow! For me, many pieces fit together now
My wife won’t see it (see waits until our friend Karen and Martijn come over) but ofcourse I was to curious.
As you know, my favorite writer is Keith Laumer, and his many time travel stories (timetravellers from the second wave in the future battling timetravellers from either further in the future etc…) are one of the reason that I’ve started my interest in SF at all.
Some things that I now expect may be SF Cliche but finally I know what the series are about and where it is heading (I think).
Amazingly cool, wonderful ending. Best episode until now.
p.s.:
The WGA strike is officially over. The 48 hour formal vote ended today with a 92.5% mandate. See industry source Daily Variety for full details.
In immediate fallout, Lost executive producer Carlton Cuse met with his bosses at ABC about continuing Season 4, and reported the results of that meeting with TV Guide’s Ausiello in an exclusive interview.
The two main points from that interview:
1) The aim is to produce FIVE more episodes of Season 4. This is three fewer than the eight scheduled before the strike occurred; the season’s total will be 13 eps.
2) The entire order of 48 episodes for Seasons 4-5-6 will still be delivered– that leaves 35 episodes to be split between Seasons 5-6.
In other words:
Season 4 is to be re-written to end with the same storyline elements as previously written, but in only 5 episodes. The three "lost" Lost episodes will somehow fill in the story arc of the remaining last two seasons.
Another lesser point is that there will be at least a 4 week hiatus between the broadcast of 4×08 and the new 4×09. Note that this may push the final episode of the season beyond the end of the Nielsen May sweeps period, so we may have been lucky to get even five eps.
