On the weblog of Ruud I read that there were protests in Italy because of the superhigh costs of the Barbra Streisand concert tickets (500-900 euro), because of the protests the concert in Rome is cancelled. Instead of the Rome concert, Streisand’s Web site listed a new date — a June 18 concert in Zurich, Switzerland — as the kickoff for the star’s tour. Officially the organisation of the concert claims that the concert is cancelled because of technical reasons (the deadline for the first concert was too soon).

(As you know I blogged a few days ago that I wanted to visit the concert in Rome because it’s exactly on my birthday and I’m a huge Streisand fan. So I’m glad I didn’t buy the tickets.)
