Mothers day is coming so I did a little bit of probing and found out that a new electronic water kettle is one of the main wishes.

Let’s make it a little quest to find the best one!

imageimage < Via adagio teas 0/774 I found this innovative Kettle with temperature control, which means that depending on the type of tea, you can set the correct temperature e.g. for green tea you definitely don’t want to have it boiling. It’s called the UtiliTea Kettle. On the site there are about 129 positive reviews.

> The Braun WK200W boils water superfast, within a minute and basically has a lot of raving reviews. I like the "fast" thing.

Watching the water slowly rise in temperature through the stylish 65 ounce Schott glass container with drip-free pouring design must be a joy. I have read some good reviews on the kettle and it has a score of 4/5 on Amazon with 48 reviews, however some reviewers noted a "chemical taste" which makes me doubtful on choosing this one despite having the best look of all kettles.

> The ECO Kettle uses the right amount of water every time you boil. It is estimated that, on average, we boil twice the volume of water needed every time. Which means twice as much energy, twice as much time. With a 3kW kettle that’s the same as wasting the energy of around 50 light bulbs! The Eco Kettle is different: its internal reservoir holds a full capacity of water ready for use, while the measuring button allows any quantity – from a single cupful to full capacity – to be released into the separate chamber for boiling. The result? Exactly the right amount of water every time you boil – and no more waste. the Eco Kettle used over 30% less energy than standard kettles.

< The microwave Tea Kettle Submit boils water twice as fast and makes a funny whistle when its ready. Pretty smart and would save some room. The only thing is… I don’t know if fits in her "tea ritual" when it becomes a magnetron thing. Probably I would buy this one but I’m not sure if it’s the best choice for her.

Let’s see if we can find some more good water / tea kettles (p.s. Kaboodle     41K was a great help finding the ones above)
