Windows LiveWriter and WordPress 404 Error


image Each time I post a blogposting from Windows LiveWriter to my WordPress I get an Error as shown to the right. However, the post always has been posted. This is a problem since reposting will create a new post instead of updating the old one.

It says “Error attempting to connect to weblog at: http://edward.de.leau.net/xmlrpc.php Submit The operation has timed out”.

This is extremely irritating so I decided that I just HAD to take a look at it.

The logfile of LiveWriter shows me the following:

First stop: the Windows Live Writer forums Submit. As you can read I posted there in august about the problem, but nothing really useful came out of it. The WordPress Live Writer Codex 0/1 pages also reveal no further hints. … to be continued.
